Jake Raecker, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy

Jake is a physical therapist and a proud Iowan. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Washington University in St. Louis, home to the nation’s top-ranked physical therapy program. Following graduation, he completed a geriatric physical therapy residency at the Mayo Clinic and is board certified in geriatric physical therapy.

With experience treating people 55+ across a variety of settings, Jake has worked with those facing critical illnesses in intensive care units, individuals with cognitive impairments, as well as highly active adults pursuing advanced fitness and performance goals. Jake’s approach to physical therapy is rooted in a deep understanding of the aging experience, evidence based practice, and the belief that stronger older adults make stronger communities.

Inspired by his grandmother, Thieleane, whose commitment to physical activity was so strong that her license plates proudly displayed "I WALK," Jake is passionate about helping older adults define their aging experience through the power of movement.

Jake and his wife Emily Kopec, an endodontist with Corridor Endodontics, live in Tiffin with their 2 year old daughter, Sofia and 4 month old son, Nello.
